 Welcome to our  November challenge.  Thank you for your so very much for your delightful pink and butterfly pages for October - our album was very pretty in pink last month.

This year we will be using a base colour (or allowing you to select your own) in any variation of that one colour you might like to use - light, dark, colour ranges just so long as we can tell it IS your monthly colour choice. Please follow the simple monthly criteria.

Small amounts of black, navy may be used for contrast and we will allow green if part of a floral pattern.

 Please welcome our October guest designer,  April Reece with her beautiful double page layout based on our challenge this month.

Hi I'm April. Mum of 5 adult children, Nanny to 4 beautiful grandchildren, so I have endless pictures to scrapbook.

Been single and loving life for over 4 years! Recently trained as an AIN in aged care and currently working as a support worker. Just started a Water Colour class, discovering techniques which I plan to use in my scrapbooking and putting up original art works in my home. Have done a lot of travelling this year and been on many adventures which I am trying to keep up with travel albums!

I am a chronological scrapper so I have organised albums and systems in place to make sure I don’t double up events and milestones…and of course my other hobbies of collecting scrapping supplies and the never ending task of organising my supplies so I use them!

Welcome to October ...

 Our October challenge is a nod to the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and an important time for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to highlight why research in this area is so crucial. Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 9 people losing their lives to the disease every day.

The only way to stop deaths from breast cancer is by funding research to improve our understanding of how breast cancer originates, grows and spreads so that we can stop it in its tracks. Join us to progress our vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

 I don't think there would be many amongst us who haven't been touched by this insidious disease in some way - be it yourself, your grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, family member, friend or colleague, so if you can, please make a donation to this worthy cause.  Your contribution matters!

My name is Amy Prior, I live on the Central Coast with my husband and 2 teen daughters (16 & 18). I have been scrapbooking for about 20 years although life has gotten in the way of my hobby a lot over the past few years. Throughout the years I have had the pleasure of working with some of the biggest brands/publications in the industry, and I have even spent many years on the WW1 design team here and there. I have always had a very mixed style where sometimes I love a bit of grunge, shabby chic, bright & fun, or everything in between. One thing has consistently been in my style and that is mixed media. I love art and getting messy with creating fun unique backgrounds for my pages. I have also got a bit of a reputation for layers and flowers lol. Unfortunately, I don’t have an active blog or socials for my scrapbooking anymore but whenever I get the chance, I will randomly enter some challenges and am always happy to share more pics of my work if requested.

Something a little exciting is happening in September! We are doing a combined challenge with Soul Scrappers Challenges, which means you do the one layout upload here and over in their monthly album and have two chances to win!

Please use TWO of the colour options of  APRICOT / TEAL / HOT PINK / GREEN on a WHITE background to create your layout using elements from the moodboard as inspiration.

Our additional criteria is FLOWERS so don’t forget to include some on your layout.

Your inspiration could be a shape or pattern, theme or items contained with in it. You might like a particular element or use of background. You can use black (or navy/ dark brown or a little gold/silver) as an accent colour only.
